Here are some pictures of the Bigfork area.  We are about 5 minutes from the area.  Bigfork is a resort community- quiet during the off season, but very crowded during the summer.  Flathead Lake is the largest fresh water body of water west of the Mississippi River.  It is 27 miles long and has over 200 miles of shoreline, mostly rocky, unfortunately.  We also included pictures of our new home.

Big Sky Bible Camp

It finally stopped raining long enough for us to get some pictures of our new home.  Big Sky Bible Camp is situated in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.  The valley is surrounded by mountain ranges on 3 sides with the lake at the end.  Glacier National Park sits to the north of us.  It is a farming/ranching community with a large Flathead Indian Reservation.  As we get out and about more, we'll be able to post more pictures of the area.

Finally taking the time to update some pictures.  Our journey from Bakersfield, Ca. to Big Sky Bible Camp, Montana was full of visiting and adventure.  Even though it was a good time, we are happy to finally be settled in our new home and ministry.  We have been working hard painting the mobile home we now live in and unpacking. The pictures below are of a fascinating museum we visited outside of Portland, Oregon called the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum.  We spent hours looking at old planes, missiles and tons of other things.  One day wasn't enough to absorb all the history there.  Our kids especially enjoyed a simulated rocket launch and viewing all the WW II planes and items.  The highlight was being able to tour inside a B-17 bomber.  We'll put up pictures of the scenery here as soon as it stops raining and we can get some taken with the sun!

We just wanted to share a few pictures with you of our recent journeys.  Our travels have taken us as far as Grants Pass, Oregon, but we will be heading out for Salem, Oregon after we speak at our church here tomorrow morning.  We are still struggling with up and down emotions, but God is faithful and we are looking forward to our new adventures.  Our expected arrival date in Montana is Thursday the 26th.  Thank you so much for your prayers.

P.S.  Jamie, I saw that you are following our blog.  I didn't know which facebook was you.  You can friend us under Matt Scherrer.
