Athboy

Today was the big day.  We braved the streets and went to Athboy to look up the sweet shop of Matt's fondest memories.  It was still there and he enjoyed buying ALL the sweets of his childhood.  It is a good thing we have been walking several miles each day.  Athboy was much as he remembered, minus the favorite chipper (fish and chips shop).  After that we enjoyed a long walk along the back lane through the countryside.  We only got caught in two downpours!  It was fun seeing the country cottages and all their beautiful colors.  After that, it was back to the flat for cups of drinking chocolate, chocolate covered digestive biscuits (from the sweet shop of course) and math.  Tonight we hope to watch the local football team practice on the pitch in the walled garden.  Tomorrow it's off to Trim to explore the castle and the yarn shop.  Cheerio.
